ISSUE: Testimonials can be Hard to Obtain.
- Confidentiality Concerns
- Change Difficult to Quantify
- Difficulty Asking
Testimonials are hard to obtain for therapists, counselors, and life coaches due to confidentiality concerns and the deeply personal nature of their work. Additionally, growth and change are often difficult to quantify, making it challenging for clients to articulate their progress. Ethical guidelines also discourage soliciting testimonials, prioritizing client privacy and the integrity of the therapeutic relationship.
SOLUTION: 8-Step Testimonial Solution
- for:
- Therapists
- Counselors
- Life Coaches
- Life Improvement Professionals (Life+PROs)
STEP 1: Client Takes 1st Life Sample
CLIENT Takes 15-20 minute Assessment (online)
The client takes a short 15-20 minute Life Inventory Assessment online.
This provides a quantified baseline of the client’s current Life Map, visually representing their current life situation. It also offers numeric values for comparison with future assessments.
Since this data reflects the client’s perspective, any changes or growth will be clearly visible both visually and numerically.

STEP 2: Life Map Sample Reveals Insights
THERAPIST (Coach) Receives Life Map Report
The initial Life Sample provides a comprehensive overview of the client’s life across 13 categories and 5 well-being measures. By visually mapping these aspects, the therapist gains immediate insight into areas of strength and potential concern.
This initial assessment is crucial, as it highlights the client’s priorities and emotional state, setting the stage for focused therapeutic work. The Life Map serves as a valuable tool for tailoring the therapy process, ensuring that it aligns with the client’s specific needs and goals. This insight is foundational for tracking progress.
Life+PRO Gains Valuable Insights into Client
STEP 3: "Normal" Client Sessions
🌱 This is where the growth happens.
Following the initial Life Sample, the client and therapist engage in their usual therapeutic sessions, using the insights from the Life Map to guide their work – however the therapist sees fit. The therapist may focus on areas identified as needing improvement or discuss the client’s priorities as shown on the map.
Over time, the sessions explore these themes, with the therapist providing support, strategies, and interventions tailored to the client’s needs. This collaborative process allows the client to work on the specific life categories and well-being measures that matter most to them, fostering meaningful progress and growth.
STEP 4: Client Takes 2nd Life Sample
CLIENT Takes 15-20 minute Assessment (online)
After a period of therapy, typically several weeks or months, the client completes a second Life Inventory Assessment. This follow-up assessment is similar to the initial one, taking 15-20 minutes to complete.
The purpose of the second Life Sample is to measure and visualize the progress the client has made during therapy. The results reveal any changes in the client’s well-being and life satisfaction, providing both the client and therapist with clear, quantifiable data to discuss.
This step is key to evaluating the effectiveness of the therapeutic process.

STEP 5: Changes Revealed Between Samples
📈 Visual and Numeric Changes Can Be Seen
The comparison between the initial and second Life Samples highlights changes from the client’s perspective. These changes are visually represented on the Life Map and reflected in the numeric scores across the 13 life categories and 5 well-being measures.
This allows both the client and therapist to see the areas of improvement, stability, or potential decline, offering a clear picture of the client’s journey. Such insights are essential for adjusting the therapeutic approach, celebrating successes, and identifying areas that may need further attention.
STEP 6: Client DIAGNOSTIC Report
📋 THERAPIST (Coach) Orders REPORT
STEP 7: Statement Collected from Client
💬 WE Collect Statement (Testimonial) from Client
After the second assessment and comparison of the Life Maps, the client is invited to provide a personal statement about their experience working with the Therapist (Coach). This statement reflects the client’s own words on the progress they’ve made and the value they’ve found in the therapeutic process.
With the client’s permission, this statement can be used as a testimonial, offering authentic and impactful feedback that highlights the effectiveness of the therapy and the positive changes in the client’s life.
STEP 8: Testimonial Data Delivered to Therapist
📝 WE Deliver REPORT to the Therapist (Coach)
This process culminates in a comprehensive collection of testimonials and case study data the therapist, counselor, life coach, or life improvement professional can use to show what is possible through working with them.
The Life Map assessments, coupled with the Life Maps Diagnostic Report and the client’s personal statement, provide a rich source of data that quantifies the client’s journey and the therapy’s impact.
This information is invaluable for therapists seeking to demonstrate their effectiveness, build their reputation, and attract new clients.
By following these steps, therapists can systematically gather and present evidence of their success, offering potential clients a clear picture of what they can achieve.
RESULT: Therapist (Coach) Gets More Referrals.
➡️ Showing Results Attracts Quality Clients
By showcasing testimonials, case studies, and tangible results from the Life Map assessments, therapists can effectively demonstrate their impact.
This not only builds trust and credibility but also encourages satisfied clients to refer others, leading to an increase in referrals and a growing practice.
